Correctly understand and understand the characteristics of fluorescent inks

As a new type of printing ink, fluorescent ink is more and more popular in modern printing technology. Therefore, the correct understanding and understanding of the characteristics of fluorescent inks, and grasping its application methods, are of great significance to improve product quality and printing efficiency.

Since the colorant (pigment or dye) in the fluorescent ink is different from ordinary colorants, it not only reflects visible light, but also reflects absorbed short-wavelength light (such as violet, blue, and green light) into visible fluorescent light, causing coloration. After being excited by sunlight or ultraviolet rays, the substance exhibits fluorescence, making it possible to produce a fluorescent color during the day. Whether or not a colorant can produce a fluorescence effect depends on the state of existence of certain atomic groups in its molecular structure. The basic characteristic of daylight fluorescent colorants is that they contain a benzene ring or a heterocyclic ring and contain a conjugated double bond structure. The raw materials used in the luminous type fluorescent ink are sulphides such as zinc, cadmium, and tantalum. After being printed, when it is exposed to ultraviolet rays, it will be reflected by long-wavelength visible light, and it is also vivid in the dark.

Because the fluorescent ink has a good effect in screen printing, it can be widely used in route signs, aircraft signs, etc. If it is covered with a transparent protective film on the surface, the light fastness can be enhanced to some extent.

At present, the main varieties of domestic fluorescent inks are orange, orange, blush, lemon yellow and green. From the aspect of appearance, the original fluorescent ink has a darker color, but it is very light after being printed on the substrate. This must be paid attention to when transferring ink, so as to avoid blind transfer of ink to cause waste. Because the fluorescent pigment has a hard texture and is not easy to be rolled, the stretchability during the printing process is poor. For this reason, when using, a layer of dimensional oil should be printed on the background color to ensure the printing effect.

In order to improve the printing performance of fluorescent inks, it is sometimes necessary to appropriately increase the viscosity of inks. For example, in the case of high-speed, high-temperature printing, 19-phr resin oils can be used to mix with varnish, and a small amount of color inks can also be mixed with them to increase the original ink. Color and consistency, such as fluorescent orange, can be adjusted to the appropriate amount of orange, gold red; fluorescent blush can be adjusted to the right amount of pink and so on.

In addition, in the design of fluorescent ink printing process, should also fully consider the printing effect. If there is no background color, the effect of fluorescent ink directly printed on white paper is obviously not good, and fluorescent ink is superimposed on the background color, the effect is better, and the deeper the color of the background color is, the better the effect is. For some packaging and decorating prints, it can also be properly set using electro-aluminum or even concave and convex printing processes, so that the fluorescent printing effect will be better. In short, as long as the establishment of innovative consciousness in the design, from the theme of the development of the background to a large area clip color set, in contrast with the general color ink, will be even more brilliant brilliance, so as not to lose the good use of fluorescent ink characteristics. Therefore, only the application of fluorescent ink printing technology can improve the quality of color prints to a new level and meet the requirements of current economic development.
