New Progress in Paper-based Composite Packaging Technology in Foreign Countries

Recently, the paper-based composite packaging technology applied abroad has made new progress. Its types are: film type, liner bag type, embedded type, liquid type. Since the oil molecules are extremely small, the main technical difficulty in developing paper-based composite packaging is to solve the seepage prevention. Recently, Japanese researchers have developed a boxed cooking oil compound carton that has been very successful. The structure of the composite paper is PE/paper/PE/AL/PET/PE, and the paper is made of 6 layers of aluminum-plastic composite. As the composite layer has aluminum foil, its performance is better than that of plastic bottles and glass bottles. The box-like oil-coated composite paper box is safe, lightweight and beautifully printed.

In foreign countries, a super-strength composite wrap paper has been successfully developed. This wrap paper is made of basalt fiber at 2000~C high temperature, impregnated with phenolic resin and infiltrated into white clay powder to make a film composite paper. Because of the rock-based material, long-term storage will not become brittle, moldy, and insect-like, and it can be printed in color and used widely. The new type of composite paper is characterized by: white as snow, thin as a flap, soft as brocade, it is still intact after repeated folding, and the price is low.
