X-Rite Eye-One iSis Automatic Color Meter Tester Listed

On December 6, 2006, X-Rite announced in Michigan that it has launched the Eye-One iSis automatic color meter measuring instrument. The instrument uses the award-winning Eye-One technology, integrated into a unified platform for maximum automation with virtually no user intervention. The instrument is easy to operate and even the buttons are omitted. The user only needs to insert the color table and the measurement process will be performed automatically.

iSis is a derivative of the Eye-One product line and is designed for professional color handlers who need to measure a large number of color tables or create mass ICC profiles. Because the instrument has smooth waveform coefficients and small footprints, image, print, and print users can apply color management techniques to their workflows as needed.

iSis products are available in two sizes: Standard iSis for A4+ or Envelope format, and XL for A3+ or Poster Format. The XL model can read up to 2500 color patches printed on an A3 format color chart.

The ease of fully automated design and operation is a core advantage of iSis products. The color table feeds automatically, and feed failures can be eliminated with the built-in optical correction system. The system can automatically identify the size and type of the color table, and can scan a color table with a bar code to automatically identify the color table.

In addition, the instrument is very fast. iSis products can read 1500 color patches in less than 8 minutes, perform filterless and UV-resistant measurements.
