The DKN Research Institute, a high-performance printed circuit board engineering company based in Massachusetts, USA, released a technology for the production of high-density multi-layer flexible printed circuit boards by screen printing, which is in the printed circuit industry. It can also be said to be a more advanced technology. With this screen printing technology, multilayer high-density flexible printed circuit boards embedded in components can be fully printed and processed. The wire width (L)/wire spacing (S) can reach 30μm/30μm, and the through hole diameter can be processed to 80μm. In addition to passive components such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors that can be buried directly in the circuit, it is also possible to process embedded active devices using materials such as semiconductors. This screen-printing technology can be used to produce sheets in one batch and roll-like in roll printing.
