New film grade polyethylene resin available
US Nova Chemicals has used its existing production process to develop four new film grade uDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) grade Surpass series, and industrial products have recently been on the market. Nova indicated that the new resin has a unique combination of properties not found in typical metallocene PEs. According to Dale Spiess, president of Olova's olefins and polyolefins division, Surpass can increase production and reduce energy consumption, and extrusion molding is easy. The processing plant no longer has to worry about reducing other performance due to a certain performance. It is also not necessary to choose between the required properties (such as toughness, tear strength, transparency, and processability), and the new resin can meet a variety of needs. Among the four brands, there are two blown film grades (EPS117-C and FPS117-F), of which FPS117-C is suitable for applications requiring toughness, such as food packaging, composite film and seal layer; HPS900 has high transparency and remains High puncture resistance and tear strength; cast film grade FRS317 application target is the stretch film market.
