Improving the quality of carton printing has been used by carton manufacturers as an important means to increase competitiveness and market share. There are three methods for carton printing: flexo printing, silk screen printing, and flat offset printing (overlay), of which flexo printing and silk printing are the most common.

Flexographic printing plates include hand-engraved rubber plates and photosensitive resin flexible plates. The hand-engraved rubber plate is a natural rubber plate added with fillers. Due to its low cost, it has long dominated in China. But now it is no longer competitive because it cannot meet market demand. This traditional technology has been used less and less.

Photosensitive resin flexographic printing plate is referred to as flexographic printing plate for short. It is a sandwich-like photopolymer, with a protective layer on the top, a photosensitive resin in the middle, and a support film on the bottom. As long as qualified photographic negatives are available, high-quality reproduction printing plates can be obtained on the flexographic plate-making machine through processes such as exposure, processing, debonding, and drying. This plate hardness is available between 35 and 70 Shore. It can be accurate before the original design level, copying text and lines is a breeze. Copying complex patterns, barcodes, and color-printed continuous adjustment patterns is simply impossible for rubber plates.

Carton printing involves the knowledge of paper, cardboard, design, plate making, printing machinery, ink, and other materials. The majority of corrugated box manufacturers are equipped with domestic plate-making equipment. The purpose of this article is to discuss how to make a high-quality flexo plate on the domestic plate-making equipment after completing the design process. At present, the domestically sold domestic equipments are mainly from Henan, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other brands. Among them, the highest price of production and sales of Henan Tianma is also relatively high, while the price of other pipe making equipment is lower, but the production process is simple and cannot meet the special requirements of customers.

1. The main technical characteristics of the structure and appearance of the lithography machine

1. The four processes of exposure, rinsing, desticking and drying are completed in one machine. In order to make high-quality exposure possible, the machine is equipped with an electronic monitoring system.

2. All the flexible version production procedures are completed by the operation panel. The operation panel involves time and temperature key data, which is controlled by microcomputer components, with accurate data and high accuracy.

3. The brush is fine and stiff, and can produce 100 lines / inch carton color printing dot version and finer lines and small text.

4. The whole machine parts and compound surface are processed and manufactured by American CNC machining center. The technology is reasonable, the precision is high, and the service cycle is long.

Second, the operating procedures

1. After passing the test by the hydrometer, add an accurate plate-washing solution.

2. Turn on the power, the voltage is 200V, the power is 5KW, and the wire is 6 square meters of copper flexible wire.

3. After the LED luminescence inspection, make sure that the UV lamp is fully lit, then put it into the exposure drawer, put on the flexible plate that is bonded to the film, cover with the air extraction film, and vacuum pump for seven. Close the exposure drawer for accurate main exposure and back exposure.

4. Stick the exposed flexographic plate to the moving plate with double-sided tape, and close the cover. According to different requirements, determine the washing time. When washing the plate in winter, set the temperature of the plate washing liquid to 25C.

5. Use a spray gun to clearly stick the resin particles on the printing plate, and use a non-linting paper towel or nylon towel to absorb the liquid on the printing plate.

6. Put in the drying drawer for drying, the drying temperature is 60C, and the time is about 60min.

3. Comparison with similar imported equipment

1. There is still a gap in the degree of automation. Sometimes it is necessary to increase manual assistance actions.

2. There is also a gap in environmental protection devices. Need to add auxiliary equipment, such as exhaust fan.

3. Missing some sensors. If the viscosity of plate washing is determined, a random alarm cannot be given, and it needs to be determined with a hydrometer.

In summary, it can be seen that some gaps can be overcome artificially. The equipment to be added is only a few hundred yuan, but the quality of the printing plate is at a grade, and the price is equivalent to 25-30% of similar imported equipment.

4. Special tips

In order to obtain a high-quality printing plate, the operator should pay attention to the following matters:

1. Select a high-quality printing plate. At present, there are various brands of plate materials in the domestic market, but it must be selected with better performance and price. According to the author's more than ten years of plate making experience, Dupont Cyrel plate of the United States has found that the exposure tolerance is large, the initial strength is high, and the rinse The process can be repeated, and is the first choice for the industry.

2. Select high-quality film. Ordinary text and line printing plates can be copied by themselves. When it comes to color-printed image editions, the fine text editions must be made by the publishing center, and the density (blackness) of the copy should be above 3.5. When it comes to bar codes, please ask the bar code center to provide film.

3. If the image dot version is often produced, the exposure lamp should be replaced. Please choose PHILIPS lamp, because the wavelength of Philips lamp is accurate and the luminous flux is large.

4. Maintain the freshness of the washing solution frequently to reduce the moiré and pitting of the printing plate.

5. Once a week, change the suction membrane frequently.
