At the same time, however, due to the fact that internal design production staff may not be as familiar with prepress requirements as professional institutions, there will be some common-sense mistakes. After the design is completed, many companies will require the printer to go directly to print and print, which will transfer the problem to the printing house.

This issue of internal communications introduces some basic common sense related to prepress production based on the common problems we have accumulated. These common senses apply to end users who have designers inside, but also to start-up advertising companies that are not yet familiar with printing requirements.

1. Design and production is an essential part before printing. The completion of printed products must be designed and manufactured - proofing - printing on the machine - post-processing four links, are indispensable.

2. Design and production is the process of using software to process images and texts. It is the first step of proofing. Therefore, the requirements for proofing must be taken into consideration when designing. However, it is not enough to consider only from the point of view of proofing, because the ultimate goal is to print the finished product. Therefore, the design must be considered from the perspective of printing. Otherwise, some design methods are not problematic for proofing, but they can cause considerable problems for printing.

3. Design and production can be done using different software. There is no big difference between the software, but only based on the preferences and familiarity of the design production staff. But generally, in four-color (color) printing, Microsoft Office cannot be typeset because Microsoft's Word and Excel are word processing software, not professional typesetting software, and cannot be used to output color printing. Four-color film (red, yellow, blue, black). In color printing, typesetting should use specialized publishing software such as Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDRAW, etc. QUARK is another professional typesetting software that has recently become popular in foreign countries. In black and white printing, such as black and white books and magazines, you can use Word, Excel, etc. as a typesetting software, output monochrome film for printing.

4. Regardless of the software used, the resolution of the image file used in the layout must be above 300 dpi. The pictures used on the site look very clear, but their resolution is generally only 72 dpi or 100 dpi and cannot be printed. Dpi is the number of dots per inch. The higher the number of dots, the clearer the picture. If the resolution of the image used in the layout is not 300 dpi, it should be forced to 300 dpi and become the original size to determine whether it is clearly available.

5. The mode of the color image must be changed to CMYK mode, and RGB mode cannot be used. CMYK is a printing-only mode, and RGB is a display-only mode for displays. If you use RGB output film, color noise will appear on the film.

6. Verify that there are all the required files in the document, which already contains the image files. Sometimes the image appears to be displayed in a typeset file, but it is actually missing or has a low resolution. Therefore, it must be confirmed that the necessary image has been included and the image has sufficient resolution. In addition, the necessary fonts should be copied in. If you replace certain special fonts, their effects may be affected and garbled characters may appear.

7. In the process of document production, black characters shall be monochrome and black, and no black or four blacks shall be used. This is because if four-color black characters are used, it is very easy to cause misregistration, and other colors will appear in black characters.

8. Regular size: 16-inch open size is 210mm x 285mm, eight open size is 420mm x 285mm, which is the domestic standard 16-opening and 8-open size. There is also an international standard 16 open size (known as A4) is 210mm x 297mm, the international standard eight open size (called A3) is 420mm x 297mm. We use the most domestic standard size.

9. When the output needs to be typed, 3mm bleeding should be set up and down. This is to leave a margin for cutting finished products. In addition, bleeding is also set when the imposition is made. After the imposition is completed, it is necessary to see if there is no word or figure out the line, and if there is enough bleeding.

10. After using Illustrator to complete the layout, you should perform a curve operation, because all the text after the curve will become a graphic, no running or garbled. When using PageMaker to perform file copying, it is best to use the "save as" command and press the "Link All Files" link below to copy the link file to the disk. It is generally not recommended to use Photoshop for text and graphics, but only for image processing because the text in Photoshop will appear jagged and will become blurred when printed.

Also pay attention to the following points after design

(1) Text: 1. Artwork texts must be converted to curves, and the converted texts must be checked for shifts; otherwise, word-failure situations will occur and an error file will be printed. 2. The use of GB-2312 fonts is prohibited. After the curve is transformed, there will be obvious hollowness in the intersection of the strokes. Fang Zhengmei will also have this situation when it does not change the curve; 3. The paragraph text must pay attention to whether all the texts in the text box are displayed; 4. The text chain is used. And envelope text must be converted to curves; 5, contour characters, must be all selected fonts and contours together after the separation, the text to the curve, the outline deleted; 6, three-dimensional character, must be separated, the text to curve, And the three-dimensional map must go to the bitmap; 7, the word with a shadow must be selected together after the separation, the text is converted to a curve, the shadow is converted to a bitmap; 8, transparent words, must be converted to a curve and then do the effect again; Among office office software, poor fonts are not reported, you must use the options in the Tools menu to replace them with fonts in compatibility. (b), pictures: 1. Rotated and cropped pictures must be converted to bitmaps, otherwise they will break the picture; 2. Pictures with shadows must be converted to bitmaps together with shadows; 3. Filters must be used. The picture must be converted to a bitmap (pay attention to whether the change of the original picture is too large after the picture is transferred). Note: The rotated or cut picture in the exact cropping frame cannot be transferred to the bitmap directly.
