Analysis of the Causes of Common Offset Printing Problems and Measures

Symptoms: The non-printing area absorbs a thin layer of ink, probably from a dirty plate, but is different and can be eliminated without permanent damage to the plate.

Causes and measures:

1. The ink is too thin, the viscosity is low: without using additives, the ink is used directly;

2. Cleaner left on the water roller: Carefully clean the water roller;

3. The residual cleaning agent on the ink roller: After using the recovery agent, carefully wash the ink roller with warm water;

4. Plate too: increase the amount of fountain solution;

5. Airflow when drying the plate: Close the doors and windows to avoid airflow;

6. There is a heat source near the printer: remove the heat source;

7. There is an excessive amount of water on the roller and the emulsified ink on the used roller: reduce the amount of fountain solution; add new ink;

8. The roller has gold, copper residue: carefully clean the ink roller;

9. The corrosive agent and acid damage the ink roller: wash the ink roller with recovery agent and warm water;

10. The fountain solution is too long: Clean the fountain solution system and use fresh fountain solution.
